Plastic drinking bottle (PCTG) maintenance and repair manual

Thank you for choosing our plastic drinking bottle (PCTG)!

With proper care, you can enjoy your bottle to the fullest. Below are some tips on how to safely use, clean and maintain your Plastic drinking bottle (PCTG) so that you can enjoy it for a long time.

1. Tips for use

  • Suitable for cold drinks

The Plastic drinking bottle (PCTG) is designed to hold cold water, juice or other non-carbonated drinks. Avoid filling with hot liquids to avoid damaging the material and disturbing the temperature.

  • Not suitable for the microwave

The Plastic drinking bottle (PCTG) is not suitable for microwave use. The material is not designed to withstand extreme microwave heat, which increases the risk of damage.

  • Not suitable for carbonated drinks

PCTG cannot withstand the pressure of carbonated drinks such as soft drinks. Use your bottle only for non-carbonated liquids to avoid pressurising the bottle.

2. Cleaning and maintenance

  • Manual cleaning

It is recommended to wash your Plastic drinking bottle (PCTG) by hand. Use warm water and a mild detergent to clean the bottle. Avoid abrasive cleaners as they may damage the surface.

  • Use a bottle brush

As the neck of the bottle is often hard to reach, a bottle brush can be useful to clean the inside properly. This also helps prevent unpleasant odours or residues.

  • Not dishwasher-safe

We recommend not putting the plastic drinking bottle in the dishwasher. The higher temperatures can damage the material.

  • Dry the bottle well

After cleaning, drain the bottle well and dry it with a clean cloth to prevent mould or odour transfer.

3. Protection and Care

  • Avoid falls or heavy knocks

PCTG is a strong material, but it can be damaged when hit hard or dropped. In addition, the print on the bottle may wear out over time, especially with heavy use or repeated contact with rough surfaces. Therefore, handle the bottle with care and try to avoid bumps and falls.

  • Store in a cool and dry place

Store your drinking bottle in a dry place, out of direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure to sunlight can discolour the material over time.

  • Use a protective cover

To avoid scratches, dents and wear and tear on the print, put the bottle in a protective sleeve, especially if you take it with you often.

4. What to do in case of damage or defects

  • Cracks or dents

If the bottle has cracks or dents, the bottle may malfunction, especially if it is leaking. Check the bottle regularly for damage and replace it if necessary to avoid risks.

5. Sustainable use and recycling

  • Reuse

The Plastic Drinking Bottle (PCTG) is a sustainable alternative to disposable bottles. By using the bottle repeatedly, you contribute to reducing plastic waste.

  • Recycle

PCTG is fully recyclable. If the bottle is at the end of its life, it can be easily recycled. Check local recycling facilities to dispose of the bottle properly.

Thank you for caring for your plastic drinking bottle (PCTG)!

By taking good care of your bottle, you can not only enjoy its use for longer, but also contribute to a more sustainable environment. We hope you enjoy your drinking bottle!
