Manual for maintenance and repair of insulated stainless steel drinking bottles

Thank you for purchasing our steel drinking bottle!

Designed to keep your drink hot or cold for longer, this bottle is a durable choice for everyday use. With proper care, you can ensure your steel drinking bottle stays in good condition for a long time. Follow these handy tips for optimal use and maintenance.

1. Use tips

  • Suitable for both hot and cold drinks

The insulated drinking bottle is perfect for keeping both hot and cold drinks at the desired temperature for longer. Use the mug for coffee, tea, soup or ice-cold drinks. Do not fill the cup with boiling hot liquids to avoid burning and pressure build-up.

  • Food-safe

The bottle is made of stainless steel, which is a safe material for storing drinks. It is BPA-free, which means no harmful substances can get into your drink.

  • Not suitable for carbonated drinks

Avoid filling the cup with carbonated drinks, as the built-up pressure can cause leakage or damage to the seal. Rinse the bottle well after each use to prevent flavour transfer.

2. Cleaning and maintenance

  • Manual cleaning

To maintain the insulating effect of the cup, we recommend washing the cup by hand. Use warm water, a mild detergent and a soft sponge to clean both the inside and outside.

  • Not suitable for the dishwasher

We recommend not putting the drinking bottle in the dishwasher. The higher temperatures can damage the material and insulation layer.

  • Clean the cap well

Don't forget to clean the cap thoroughly as well. The cap can often contain a build-up of water droplets or leftover drinks, which can cause odour transfer or mould. Rinse the cap well and let it dry completely.

  • Use a bottle brush

For a thorough cleaning, use a bottle brush to clean the hard-to-reach parts of the bottle.

3. Protection and care

  • Avoid extreme temperatures

Although the bottle is designed to maintain temperature, it is better not to expose it to extreme heat (e.g. in the oven) or extreme cold (e.g. in the freezer). This may damage the material and affect its insulating properties.

  • Avoid falls or hard knocks

Although stainless steel is a strong material, it can still be dented or scratched by hard knocks or falls. In addition, the print on the bottle may wear off over time, especially with heavy use or repeated contact with rough surfaces. Therefore, handle the bottle with care and try to avoid bumps and falls.

  • Avoid heavy abrasives

Do not use abrasive cleaners that can damage the outside and inside of the bottle. This can lead to scratches that can reduce the appearance of your bottle.

4.     What to do in case of damage

  • Small dents or scratches

Small dents or scratches on the bottle usually do not affect its functionality, but can reduce its appearance. If your bottle is severely damaged or no longer seals properly, consider buying a new bottle to prevent leaks.

5.     Sustainable Use and Recycling

  • Reuse

A stainless steel drinking bottle is a sustainable and reusable choice. By using the bottle regularly, you can reduce the use of disposable bottles, which is better for the environment.

  • Recycle

Stainless steel is completely recyclable. If your bottle is at the end of its life, it can be recycled at a recycling centre. Please refer to local guidelines for recycling stainless steel.
